    1. Pretty packaging, but overpriced for 'talcum puder'.

Reviewed: 21 July 2015 by RubyRousson

When I got sent this from Lovehoney I was really excited because I wear latex on a regular basis. However, my excitement slowly dwindled upon fumbling with it.

It's a nice compact tub that fits nicely in my cupboard, and the bright red on the front makes it both easy to spot and aesthetically pleasing. To open it you have to press down the plastic seal until it pops open - precarious if you do it on a fabric surface, which I had the misfortune to do. It's not the easiest thing to open, but it does mean there's minimal packaging. At the same time, it's also very small. I know it's meant to be small so you can take it places, but at the same time it wouldn't be cost-effective as it's essentially re-branded talcum powder.

I've tried it on a few different latex products now, from stockings to dresses, and whilst it does help with putting the product on and moving it about a bit, after 20 minutes of wear the effect wears off. Just like talc. Granted, it does what it says, it helps me to slide into the latex stockings and dresses, but you need to make sure everything is coated in a thin layer for it to work effectively. To use it, you can either pour the powder on or sprinkle it. Sprinkling it is a much better option, as pouring it just means half the product ends up dumped in the middle of your clothing.

Overall, it's just an over priced version of talcum powder. You'd be better off going to your local pound store and buying 5 large bottles and decanting some if you want portability rather than this tiny thing. You'd also spend your money better by buying a latex shiner/dressing spray that will condition your latex rather than something that will stick to your latex after wear.

It was sent as a tester product, and the bright packaging.
Size, over-priced if I were to pay for it.
      Bottom line
Does what it says on the tin, but overpriced. Stick to latex shiners.

    1. Think I'll Stick With Talc

Reviewed: 20 July 2015 by LadyS

I've started wearing a lot more Latex lately, so I was really excited when I got sent this product to test.

It is simple enough to use. Just pop the seal open, then it has either a sprinkle option or a pour option (like on a pot of parmesan cheese). I definitely recommend sprinkling rather than pouring or you'll only get a few uses out of this as it is a fairly small pot.

It does do what it says on the description. Latex does indeed slide on easier with it. However, in the description it says enables quicker stripteases. The only way this would have is if you were putting the latex on and taking it straight off. If you are wearing your latex for any length of time and them removing it, it's still going to be a tricky business.

I think overall when taking into consideration the volume of product you get versus the cost, I just wouldn't invest in this myself. I'd rather use regular talc and put the money saved towards a better quality latex shiner. :)

I didn't pay for it and it did work.
The pot is quite small and the pour option really does pour.
      Bottom line
Probably not the best latex buy, a good quality shiner would be a better investment.
