    1. Tease Restraints

Reviewed: 28 September 2015 by FrozenAngel, a Bisexual Going Steady Female

Sometimes I like to be cuffed, and sometimes I like to be restrained. Although essentially they're the same thing, for me there are subtle differences. Being handcuffed means that my hands are separated, whereas being restrained means that my hands are bound together. Both of these I am very much a huge fan of. However, there's something about being restrained that really does something to me.

Have you ever had one of those nights with your partner (or not your partner) where they pin you against the wall? Your hands bound by theirs above your head? This is something that I love. It makes me weak at the knees and being restrained gives me that same feeling - it turns me on a lot more. I can see the handcuffs coming, but when my partner has a restraint on their person, I can't see that. It's a surprise, something that can be carried and pulled out any time, any place. They're obscured, which gives it a huge element of surprise.

Made entirely from Satin the Tease restraints measure 53 inches in length and 3.6 inches in width, due to the material it's incredibly comfortable to 'wear' for longer periods of time. Due to the length of this, I imagine it should fit around any size wrists or ankles. Not only is my partner able to tie my wrists up, they're also able to secure me to the headboard with the satin that's left over. Always a plus, since if I'm not secured to something I will constantly move my wrists from above my head.

In the middle there is a central loop. This is there to make it easier if you wish to tie a bow. Personally, it's not something I used, mainly because I'm the one that likes to be restrained. My bondage partner does like to use handcuffs, but restraints are something that she doesn't like, due to that it doesn't matter to me if it's in a perfect looking bow, I can't see it. What matters to me is that it's tight and I can't wiggle out of it, which this definitely is.

I really love how this restraint feels on my skin, it feels smooth and soft, and really is comfortable to wear. As it's satin it can be tied quite tightly around your wrists/ankles, and when it is tied tightly you can't really move with it. I would advise when in use to make sure you have a pair of bondage scissors handy, just in case something happens and it needs to be removed in a hurry, as sometimes the knot in this can get quite tight, and take a little time to get it undone.

Personally, I'm slightly torn on the price, although part of me does feel like it's a little on the expensive side, since it's essentially a piece of satin. The other part of me thinks it's actually worth it, since it's well made and could potentially last years.

All in all, I really do like this restraint. It's durable and well made, it really does feel quite sexy, and can feel romantic when used in certain circumstances.

It really does go quite nicely with the rest of the collection. I also have the blindfold and paddle and they look great when used together.

    1. Dual Purpose: It was a Blackout!

Reviewed: 08 September 2015 by fairehlights, a Bisexual Going Steady Female

Now, we all know what I think about satin restraints. I'm a hardcore steel and leather lady that likes to be held in tight. So these are something I always have to review with a pinch of salt, because they just aren't my thing.

That doesn't make these any less lovely.

I feel the name of this product is a little misleading, as these aren't exactly handcuffs, rather a long, soft, satin restraint. There's a loop, like a belt loop, in the middle of the restraint which you can loop both ends through in order to make handcuffs which you can then tie to the bed, chair etc.

Now, we tried, we really did, but I just couldn't be restrained with this. It's far too easy to wriggle out of and I felt that struggling against them would make them bunch thinly and cut into my wrists before I slipped out of them.

I can see how they would be appreciated by beginners and I'd totally recommend them for that, but for anyone else, no.

However, it wasn't a total loss: the 'handcuffs' double wonderfully as a blindfold, providing a nice thick band over the eyes which you can't see around or under, a total blackout. It was very nice, and heightened sensations wonderfully. So, dual purpose, y'know? :P

Also, it makes a wonderful bow around my cat, so it's now his Sunday best!

    2. Overall Rating:
      8 out of 10 stars
      Pros
Soft and high quality, makes a good blindfold.
      Cons
Not much good as a restraint to me.
      Bottom line
      Great for beginners, great quality.

    1. Tease by Lovehoney Silky Handcuffs

Reviewed: 07 September 2015 by Fun Louise, a Straight Engaged Female

I was lucky enough to be asked to test and review these silky handcuffs.

They were delivered in a padded brown envelope, discreet as all Lovehoney deliveries are. The Silky Handcuffs are packaged in a simple clear plastic bag. You will need a pair of scissors to get into them though as the bag is sturdy and heat sealed at both ends. The bag has a dark pink sticker on the front stating Tease by Lovehoney on it, and it bears the Lovehoney logo too. Simple but classic.

After removing the Silky Handcuffs from the bag, I was immediately impressed by the material quality. The Silky Handcuffs are black in colour and have a delightful sheen to them. The material is extremely smooth and soft, it does feel silky, and it looks like satin. The Silky Handcuffs consist of one long satin piece of material that has a loop for fastening purposes. There is a little cardboard instruction ticket attached by a small silver chain. This card explains how to use and fasten the handcuffs. The last detail to mention is the small tab bearing the Lovehoney heart symbol, which is stitched close to one end of the Silky Handcuffs.

At the longest point the handcuffs are 5.2" long, and they are 3.5" wide. The ample length means that they can be used on anyone regardless of the size of their wrists, and the width of the handcuffs prevents them digging in to your wrists.

My OH tied my wrists together the first time we used these and they work well. There is a small amount of knot slippage, but not too much, I was still tied up quite securely. The second time we used them we fastened my ankles together, feet crossed for positional restraint. This was a little harder to do but again worked well.

The handcuffs are very strong and could be used as a positioning strap. The material is completely opaque and keeps out the light, making it an ideal blindfold too.

These Silky Handcuffs are wonderful, very simple to use soft and comfortable to wear, and very versatile. They are stylish and excellent quality. Perfect for beginners, or occasional users of bondage.

    2. Overall Rating:

      Cons
Some knot slippage but not too much.
      Bottom line
Very versatile, comfortable and ideal for beginners.
