    1. Product Description

Discover a whole new spectrum of S&M fun with these UV glow hot wax bondage candles. In 3 radiant shades, they illuminate under UV blacklight for a plethora of creative erotic thrills. Melt them over your lover's skin for sensory play with a twist!

Whether you reserve these artistic accessories for playtime at home, or prefer to save them for clubbing and fetish nights, they're sure to brighten up your evening (bad-dum-tsss!). Heat the wax and drizzle it over your partner's skin to get all the usual sense-enhancing benefits of bondage candles, with the added bonus of glow stick style illumination under blacklight.

In daylight these candles remain bright neon in colour (think 'highlighter pens'!) so are still a lot of fun, but they truly come into their own when shone under a UV light. Experiment with different patterns and shapes to really customise your look. Plus they're handmade from soya making them a brilliant gift for vegan bondage lovers.

Please note: Bondage candles burn at a higher temperature than massage candles and are designed to provide intense heat for pleasure/pain experimentation. These candles will leave a non-permanent mark on the skin, which fades within 12 - 24 hours. Always do a skin sensitivity test before play. If used incorrectly, the candles can cause painful burns to the skin.

      Key Features:

      • Pack of 3 handcrafted UV bondage candles for exciting hot wax play
      • Non-hazardous colouring glows under UV light for fun experimentation - perfect for fetish or club nights
      • Made from natural soya wax with added botanical oils for skin safe, vegan-friendly play
      • Each odourless candle measures 4.2 inches in length and 3.5 inches in circumference
      • Burns hotter than a massage candle, but cooler than a household candle for safe exploration

    1. Best candles we have tried

Reviewed: 17 April 2016 by Lucid Nonsense, a Straight Married Male

We love these candles. We have used The Bondage Man's regular candles for a long time now, as my wife loves the sensation of wax play. When we saw UV as an option, we just had to have them!

Melt temperature is the same as the regular candles, so sensation-wise they are the same as regular wax play candles. The colours under UV are so much more vibrant.

In response to other comments about shape, I find this is easily addressed by rotating the candle as it melts. This allows for an even burn and extends the lifespan of the candle. We find that we can get two or three play sessions out of each candle.

My wife has sensitive skin and some products can cause blemishes. We have never had issues with these candles.

The only problem is clean-up, but that can be addressed by putting down a shower curtain or disposable table cloth first.

    2. Overall Rating:
      9 out of 10 stars
      Pros
      Amazing colour and sensation.
      Cons
Clean up needs to be planned.
      Bottom line
      Amazing product.

    1. Waxing Lyrical

Reviewed: 13 March 2016 by JJW023, a Bisexual Single Male

My partner and I have dabbled with wax play for quite a while now, and we've been playing the dark a lot recently due to adding the "Kinklab Neon Wand Electrosex Violet Wand Kit" to our toy bag. When I saw that these were UV, I just had to have them.

As bondage candles should, these melt at temperature that is hot enough to hurt, but not to damage, whenever we have played with these any red marks have faded by the morning.

Combined with ice and the violet wand, we have had some phenomenal sensory scenes with these. There is now way to convey the sumptuous sensation of hot wax trickling across soft skin, you'll have to try it to find out!

My partner takes great delight in creating UV designs on my back, particularly because these glow so bright in the dark. Of course, this means that I have to suffer for her art; I'll let you in on a secret: I'm more than happy to do so. Don't tell her that!

    2. Overall Rating:
      9 out of 10 stars
      Pros
      Impressively vivid under UV light.
      Cons
Difficult to create intricate designs due to the thickness of the candles.
      Bottom line
      Way cooler than normal candles!

    1. A Glowing Review of the UV Wax Play Candles

Reviewed: 03 March 2016 by Fluffbags, a Straight Going Steady Female

The second I saw these candles at Lovehoney, I knew I had to have them. My partner and I really enjoy wax play. He enjoys the pleasure/ pain sensation as the wax hits his skin. I enjoy watching as the wax trickles, leaving colourful trails all over his body. I will often grab my camera after a wax play session, just to capture the gorgeous patterns on his skin.

Of course, that was our experience with standard wax play candles. When I realised that the wax from these candles would glow under black light, I was sold. Of course, we did have to purchase a black light to take advantage of this feature (you can pick up a decent black light torch for under a tenner online), but it was totally worth it.

Our Experience with the Wax Play Candles:

With the candles and the black light in our possession, we began experimenting. We waited until night time (the darker the room, the better the effect), turned on the black light and pointed the light at the unlit candles. As expected, all three glowed brightly, like a neon glowstick. Pleased to discover it was no gimmick, I lit the candles and asked my partner to get naked.

I recommend turning the main light on when pouring the wax on your partner. The wax will not glow under regular light, but it is important to be able to see where you are pouring. You want to avoid getting too close to the skin, or pouring wax on highly sensitive or very hairy areas of the body. Under normal light, the melted wax has a pastel colouration. It is not vibrant, but you can still see the different colours.

I used all three candles; spotting, dribbling and splashing the wax onto his skin to create different patterns. When I was satisfied, I blew out the candles, turned out the main light and switched on the black light. Wow! In the glow of the black light, I could barely make out the shape of his body, but the colours were glowing vibrantly on his skin. It was like walking into a dark room and looking at an abstract neon painting. Where the wax glowed, I could make out the curves of his body; the arch of his back and the shape of his ass. It was gorgeous and sexy as hell.

Using these candles is simple and we had an absolute blast playing with them, but clean-up can be a pain (figuratively and literally!). These candles are made from a soya wax, which doesn’t dry hard on the skin. Instead, it has a softer, crumbly texture. Because of this, the wax does tend to flake quite easily, so if you move around too much, you will find crumbs everywhere. It can be very difficult to remove the soft wax from clothing, bed sheets and carpets, so do be careful where you wander.

Conversely, it can also be a pain to remove the remaining wax from your skin after play. If you use your fingernails, they will clog up with the soft wax almost immediately. I recommend scraping the wax off the skin using a blunt, flat instrument (such as a butter knife). As I mentioned previously, it is also a good idea to avoid hairy areas of the skin, unless you fancy getting waxed during your wax play session!

The candles are not huge in size, but they are definitely big enough to last through quite a few wax play sessions. We have had two sessions with the candles so far, both times using plenty of wax and covering large areas of the body. After those sessions, the candles have burnt down by approximately one quarter, so we still have 3 quarters left.

      Downsides:

If I could change one thing about these candles, it would be their shape. Because they are quite chunky (compared to stick candles), the heat doesn’t melt the wax evenly. What tends to happen is the flame melts the wax closest to the wick, leaving the edges of the candle un-melted. This can waste a lot of product. You can reduce the waste by tilting and rotating the candle during use, but it isn’t a perfect solution. I have a feeling that some wax will remain by the time the wick as burnt down.

      Summary:

Overall, I am extremely pleased with these candles; so much so, I intend to purchase more when these ones run out. I love that they can be used as standard wax play candles, or viewed under black light for an amazing new look. Neither of us had any negative reactions to the ingredients and thanks to the low melting point, we could even hold them quite close to the skin without causing burns (start at a distance and gradually get closer, as your experience might be different).

Overall, I would recommend these candles to anyone who enjoys (or fancies trying) wax play.

One final piece of advice: If you are using a black light for the first time, don’t shine the light around your house. Not unless you are prepared to be shocked and awed at the things you might see!

    2. Overall Rating:
      9 out of 10 stars
      Pros
The colours glow so well under black light.
      Cons
The candles are chunky, so the wax melts unevenly.
      Bottom line
Absolutely amazing candles. I would recommend to all wax play fans.
