Chilli Chocolate Willie Roulette Game
Hot and naughty
Reviewed: 29 June 2014 by CuriousKara, a Straight Single Female
As soon as I found out I was testing this item I was straight on the phone arranging a girls night in!
The box was compact and sent in a large envelope. Heavier that the pictures portray as looked flimsy but about the weight of a small box of chocolates. The design is black and red supporting the casino and luck theme.
The back of the box has the instructions and ingredients list and all the other stuff you expect from food packaging. When I opened it the willie chocs had made a break for freedom and were a little haphazard but all in 1 piece. They seemed like solid chocs not advent calendar stuff.
The spinner is a piece of card with pictures of the chocs numbered 1-10 and with a separate round card attached in red with a chilli pointing to the designated chocolate. The carton securing the choc chilli willies numbers each one so there's no confusion as to which one you are picking. It may have been better if was a true roulette wheel with the spinner in the middle of that instead of a separate card. I found it to be a little stiff and not spinning freely so I gently curved the base card away from the red spinner to let it spin easier.
Now for the good part! Got the girls around and opened the fizz, eagerly awaiting chocolatey goodness. We found the spinner card a little hard to spin and held down the backing card while spinning the circle.
If it was just a cut out of the chilli it might have been easier to spin. I went first and bit cautiously into a chocolate willie. The girls watched me expectantly and at first I was smug as I thought it was just lovely bubbly chocolate.
Then the chilli kicked in and my lips tingled! The heat rose at the back of my throat and burned hotly. The girls were lucky and got delicious chocolate on their turns and on my second turn. I thought I was onto a winner until the chilli kicked in a second time! I was so unlucky but it calms quickly and you hope the next one will just be chocolate to cool everything down.
We had great fun playing this game and posing with the chocolate willies and I would recommend it for a bit of silly fun. The chocolate is decent quality, not cheap tasting and the problem with the spinner was the only thing it lost points on.
- Chocolate willies!
- The spinner was difficult to use and could be improved.
- Bottom line
- Silly, tasty fun!
