    1. Surprisingly sexy

Reviewed: 10 August 2014 by Briona87, a Straight Single Female

I bought this on a whim, not really thinking it would look particularly appealing on someone like myself, for the grand total of 2p, this chemise being included in the 3 for £75 special offer. Being unable to decide which third item to add, I simply went through reviews for anything a woman might try by herself, toys and lingerie sets.

The only review for this article said the lady who gave this a shot found this chemise too loose on the hips. As someone who finds it particularly difficult to find stuff that would fit my hips I thought this intriguing, rather than off-putting.

Having lost a great deal of weight, I now sport a 33 inch waist, but also a rather unfortunate 43 inch circumference around my hips - many L/XL sized chemises or dresses tend to accommodate waists up to 32 inches (I might be able to get in, one inch not being that much of a problem). The recommended hip circumference tends to be 40 inches (three inches are usually a bit too much of a difference).

"Genuine" plus-size, on the other hand, often starts with 42 inch hips (fine), but also with 36, sometimes 38, waists, and these are far too big for me, making me look even fatter than I usually am. Well, if the hip-covering area was to be a bit bigger than it was supposed to be, it sounded promising. I decided to add the 12-16 version to my online shopping basket.

Once my order had arrived, I opened the little package the chemise came in. The material feels very fine. The bra-closure on the back seems to be well-made, and so do the adjustable straps. I am, admittedly, not much of a fan of G-strings, since I simply don't feel attractive or slim enough to wear them. The quality of the item itself seems nice, too, though.

Getting in front of the full-length mirror, the upper part of the chemise fitted me perfectly, just like a comfy light-support bra. My bust is of the larger C/smaller D variety and, thankfully, quite firm - I would say that this is more or less the maximum size that is likely to feel comfortable wearing this chemise as it doesn't offer much of a support.

Despite my waist being very slightly over the recommended size-range, the stringy sides clung to me in a very flattering way, without giving me the appearance of a sausage, something I had thought likely to happen. So far, so good.

The hip-covering part, surprisingly enough, didn't overly accentuate the fact I have some extra post-weight loss skin in the lower belly area just above my pubic mound. Definitely better than I had expected.

There is one thing I should point out, though. The lowest part has a tendency to go below the hip area as the middle strip of cloth (the one that covers your midriff and connects the bottom part to the top one) is fairly long. If you make the bottom part sit on your hips, the middle strip might look very slightly "bunched up" (it's doesn't look awful, but it is not a perfect fit, either).

If you are approximately the same height as myself (5' 6" 1/2), clearly, this was designed with taller women (I would guess 5'9" - 5'10") in mind. It is fine for ladies of 5'6" or so, and perfect for those who are a few inches taller - I would, however, not recommend it to shorter women (the 12-16 size, anyway).

This chemise looks great and sexy even on those who weigh in at... well, a bit more than the fashion "standards" demand. Might not be the best choice for shorter ladies, though.

    2. Overall Rating
      9 out of 10 stars
Material feels luxurious, criss-cross strings accentuate your waist to hip ratio nicely.
Middle part a bit too long - not great for those under 5'6" or so.
      Bottom line
      Sexy and flattering chemise.

    1. Cheeky little outfit

      Reviewed: 16 March 2015 by Carrie2014

Bought this bodycon dress and G-string set to spice things up with my partner.

Was pleasantly surprised and fit perfect. Definitely only suitable to wear in the bedroom as very short and would be arrested if wore outside the house, lol!

Fitted perfect and partner liked me in it a lot!

Would highly recommend purchasing this for the fun factor!

    1. Nice dress but too big

Reviewed: 07 September 2012 by MrsKitty, a Straight Married Female

Got this dress through the post and couldn't wait to try it out as I really like the look of it. And it did look nice when I took it out of the packaging tried it on.

It was too baggy in the front and the bit that sits on the hips gapes open on the sides. I'm a 6-8 and ordered the s/m so I have to return it but it was really nice. Just wish it had fit.

      It looked really nice.
      To big on the hips.
      Bottom line
Not for a 6-8 but a nice dress.
