Rocks Off Ruby Glow Ride On Clitoral Vibrator
Reviewed: 25 July 2017 by honey-boy
I'm writing this about 15 minutes after my first time using the Ruby Glow, and I'm pleasantly shaky and out of out of it but feeling so enthusiastic that I just had to review it right away!
I find it very hard to cum sometimes, and there are only a few ways I can manage it - my magic wand (which only works sometimes), sex with me on top (I have chronic fatigue so can't always manage this, especially to completion), or grinding against something (which is the only foolproof method but sometimes results in pretty weak orgasms.) So when I read the product description of the Ruby Glow I was intrigued. It sounded like a perfect fit for me and I worried it might be too good to be true, but I decided I had to give it a try.
I am so glad I bought it. I was worried about finding a position that worked because I don't have a chair in my bedroom, but it works just fine on the bed. It took me a surprisingly short amount of time to cum despite also edging for a while, which is something I usually find difficult. It was the strongest orgasm I've had in quite a while and I can see myself using it on a regular basis. I need fairly strong vibrations, which only my magic wand has been able to deliver, yet this did the trick even through underwear! Also want to add that I suffer from chronic fatigue and I thought it might take a lot of effort to get much effect from grinding on this little thing, but that's not the case at all.
There are a lot of different vibration options, but I find them a bit fiddly. If you accidentally skip the one you'd like, you have to cycle through all of them to get back to it. I think the controls are the only real downside though, so I can definitely live with that!
This really is amazing. I know a lot of people grow up learning to masturbate by rubbing against things (eg. pillows) and later find it hard to orgasm any other way. If that's the case for you, I really recommend giving this a go. Even if it's not though, this toy is great and worth adding to your collection.
Bonus - the knobbly bits remind me of an octopus tentacle. Not my kink personally, but it made me laugh.
- Strong vibrations and does exactly what it claims!
- Controls were a bit awkward.
- Bottom line
- Wonderful, well worth the money.

If You Orgasm Through Dry Humping, Buy This
Reviewed: 10 May 2016 by popk1n, a Straight Going Steady Female
We’ve all seen those vibrators that basically sell because of some sort of “novelty” that often is just a gimmick and doesn’t actually work for its whole purpose of bringing an orgasm. This toy perhaps does fall into the “here’s our novelty selling point” category… but this one actually works! Thank the inventor of this toy, erotic author and artist Tabitha Rayne, for that.
This is the first toy I’ve received which arrived in a properly “nice” box. It looks sleek, simple and classy and doesn’t scream sex toy at a glance. I wish that there was some sort of storage pouch included, but that’s a wish I have with every toy I buy!
When I opened it up, my first thought about this toy is that it is the weirdest-looking vibrator I have ever seen. I wouldn’t know what to guess it to be if I didn’t know what it was - perhaps this could be considered strangely discreet in that regard. It is only about as long as my hand, so isn’t a huge toy, and it is definitely more lightweight than I was expecting.
Despite its light weight, this toy does feel very sturdy - I wouldn’t really know how to break it, and if you are a little on the…um… heavier side, I don’t think you’d be in danger of breaking it. The silicone surface is rather velvety smooth and has minimal drag, meaning your clitoris will hopefully not get too irritated if you choose to use this toy without clothes.
The only downside of this lovely silicone is that it pretty much the definition of particle magnet (dust and hairs are the worst offenders). For this reason, it is paramount that a full soap and water is administered after every use.
As it says in the description, this is a “ride on” vibrator, so to use it you literally just sit on it. I will be honest, this toy doesn’t 100% fit my anatomy. Literally every woman has a different sized/shaped vulva, so obviously Rocks Off aren’t miracle-workers, so this will not fit every woman’s shape (my vulva is small, with an average-sized clitoris I think).
However, the fit is still acceptable and since you will most likely grind around a bit, there is a bit of leeway in regards to the actual dimensions. I don’t think you can really do any measuring of yourself, I think you’ll just have to try it out and see.
The very top of the ridged clitoral bump curves inwards slightly and actually falls above my clit and hits my pubic crotch bone area. This can be painful if grinded against too much, so sometimes I have to make an active effort to keep in a good position. When I am in the right position, I love this vibrator! The vaginal bump should be good for all. It isn’t supposed to be an actual penetrative bump. It just makes the toy fit the contours of your body more comfortably.
Inserting batteries and usability of the buttons et cetera is super easy and very self-explanatory, there are two buttons, one for each motor, so you click them to cycle through the settings.
The only downside to the buttons is that there is no up/down option, which means with 10 vibration settings for each motor, make sure you don’t skip too far, because you’ll have cycle right back through them all again to get to what you want. When you click the batteries both in place, the toy makes a slight, quick buzz, like it’s letting you know that you’ve turned it on, so if you’re using this as a surprise of some form, have the batteries inserted first so there’s no tell-tale buzz.
The vibration settings are the same 10 in each motor, but for all the patterns bar one, the two motors do the pattern at the opposite time. Generally, the vibrations are of a mid-strength and slightly buzzy. The vaginal motor is noticeably weaker and buzzier than the clitoral motor. I can get off on these types of vibrations, especially with grinding, but magic wand users will probably find these way too weak. If you can get off by rubbing your clit with your fingers, I think you should be able to make this work, as grinding is a similar type of stimulation to manual.
A lot of the patterns merge together and you forget which is which (even more so in the vaginal motor), though there is one pattern that doesn’t actually have any pauses in, it is actually constant, which is less annoying than most patterns. The strongest single speed I find to be my favourite. The two weaker single speeds are too weak in my opinion.
The vibrations feel a lot more powerful when you are naked, instead of wearing clothes, so that is my preferred way of using. I have found that since this is all about the clitoral orgasm with this toy, it doesn’t actually matter what setting the vaginal motor is on. The vibrations are kind of loud in general (but probably of average loudness for the type of vibration), so definitely do not use if there is someone in your house who you would prefer not to hear you.
I really love using this facing forward on a chair. The toy doesn’t move around, despite much enthusiastic grinding. It works with my legs either spread wide or pressed shut. It finds my clitoris whichever way. I wore a butt plug with it (though pick one with a small, squishy base so it doesn’t get in the way).
I tried whilst on my period and the strongest single speed managed to make me orgasm on more than one occasion through a sanitary towel. A huge perk also is that I don’t get tired in the same way I would normally if using a suction-cup dildo or something, so if you’re unfit like me, don’t worry, this is a good, lazy sex toy. Also, I would best advise for solo scenarios, not as a “performance” toy, since when in use, you can barely see it.
The thing I adore most about this toy is that, as someone who orgasms often with my partner through dry-humping and such, this toy replicated that experience even when my partner wasn’t there, and the hands-free option allowed me to fantasise more strongly. If you get off in that way with your partner, I would highly, highly recommend this toy for you - no other vibrator has quite offered me that same solo experience and replication!
- Offered a new experience/new fantasy options, easy to use, vibrations strong enough for me.
- Vibrations will be too weak for some people, didn't fit my vulva 100%.
- Bottom line
- Innovative... one for the clitoral grinders.
