    1. Apollo Waterproof Grip Vibrating Male Stroker

Reviewed: 05 January 2017 by NJCox, a Straight Single Male

When I first opened the package (discreet as always, it's Lovehoney, what do you expect?), it reminded me of a movie I watched when I was younger. Alien! Looks don't really matter to me, but this thing looked a little too much like an alien creature. But still, I didn't let it get to me, if it did the job it could look like Mr Trump for all I care (and no, I don't have any fetishes towards the man, or men in general, very straight male here thanks).

So I came to use the product for the first time, and I notice the bullet seems a little light. Obviously, I haven't put the battery in yet, but it still seems lighter than any other bullet I have used. Maybe because it's plastic and all others are metal or made of hard plastic. I placed the AAA battery in and gave it a test. One thing I noticed is that the top to the bullet doesn't stay on very well. After clicking it a few times I found it unscrews itself, and I'm a little afraid to put it on tight as the plastic is light and flimsy so I don't want it to snap or break somehow. But I persevered and inserted it into the alien, I mean stroker!

The stroker itself felt good in the hand, nice little handle to keep your grip, nice little ridges I thought at first, but when actually using, I don't think they add to anything. I liked the way that when you use it, the side flaps are adjustable by how hard you squeeze them around the shaft. I noticed that if you gripped it loosely, the vibrations felt great going all over your penis.

The thing that did it for me was the strong vibrations, even on the first setting, as it has 2, the second being a little stronger. The ridges on the inside were noticeable but after a while you didn't really feel them.

I'm not sure whether or not the vibrations felt good because of the light plastic used for the bullet or what, but it was good in my books. The bullet just needs some adjustments, I think maybe different patterns with the vibrations could be a bonus.

Easy to clean, very strong product, I would recommend to a beginner who wants to try out a vibrating stroker of this kind for the first time.

      The vibrations were strong.
The quality of the bullet, how the end can come undone at any time.
      Bottom line
Very nice product, did the job, but could be better quality wise.

    1. Sting ray

      Reviewed: 03 February 2017 by Lovelylaw847

We were sent this as a tester and after trying it a few times I have to say it's okay. We've nicknamed it sting ray as when you pull the edges out that's what it looks like.

The first time we used it I used it on my husband and seemed to easily find a position that felt good for him. When he's tried using it on himself since he has told me that he has struggled to get it in a good position. I guess he can't get the angle on himself that I could from next to him.

I've been told that the vibrations do feel good but can be quite noisy. You definitely do need to use lubricant with it as well to help it move freely. He also tried using it in the bath, but the lube just washed away, so it didn't work at all.

It will be used again, but only as a couple during foreplay as we don't think it will "complete" the task.

      The vibrations.
Having to use lots of lube.
      Bottom line
Good for couples. Not so much for solo play.

    1. Orgasm at a stroke - maybe

Reviewed: 09 January 2017 by Troubled Joe, a Straight Married Male

I was excited to receive this stroker to test, and eagerly removed it from its packaging as soon as it arrived.

I'd had a good look at the photos on the website, so wasn't perturbed by its somewhat alien appearance. What I was surprised by, though, was it's lack of rigidity; the open side flaps felt very loose and I wondered how effective it would be.

The stroker is made from soft rubbery material that is ridged internally along the length of the toy.

A hole in the back accommodates the supplied bullet vibe, and a handle allows you to grip the toy comfortably.

The supplied bullet requires just one AAA battery, and provides two speeds of fairly strong vibrations. The bullet feels pretty cheap, and the battery cover feels a bit unreliable for a toy that claims to be waterproof.

My first go with the stroker was not the success I'd hoped it would be. I used plenty of lube then tried to wrap the wings around my penis. I'm not under-endowed, but I struggled to find a comfortable grip, which also enabled me to close the wings over my shaft to provide an all-over sensation.

I persevered and managed to find a position that seemed to work, and stroked slowly, allowing the vibrations to stimulate me. The stroking wasn't altogether comfortable, though, as, despite the softness of the material, the ridges felt quite harsh and detracted from any pleasure the vibrations provided.

I then just held the toy in place and just very gently rocked it back and forth. This was definitely a better experience and, after maybe 10 minutes I managed to achieve orgasm.

Although I managed to get all the way, I felt quite numb afterwards due to the lack of stroking movement and the constant vibrations being fixed on on spot on my penis.

I've not tested its waterproof abilities as, along with my doubts about the reliability of the bullet's battery cover, I don't feel the sensations would be at all pleasurable without plenty of lube.

So, not an overwhelming success really. I like the idea of the toy, but the reality for me didn't match the promise.

I love the concept but not the reality.
Uncomfortable ridges, awkward grip, cheap bullet.
      Bottom line
Needs plenty of improvements before the reality matches the promise.
