Bad Kitty Medium Silicone Ball Gag

So, as newbies to soft bondage we had ordered a bondage starter kit from another online source. The ball gag in that kit was hard plastic, cheap-looking and far far too big to fit in my mouth. So we ordered this one from Lovehoney. I have to say we were very impressed with the quality and look of it.

From the packaging to the actual item, at first I thought I had ordered the more expensive one.

The material is soft but looks and feels of high quality, the ball fits my mouth, which is good because my mouth is small, and although I will need to practice using it I didn't find it too uncomfortable. I did read a review about it having a taste, I have to say I agree with the reviewer, it does have a taste, I am hoping this will wear off in time. Having said that, it's not a big problem. The buckle fastener is substantial and secure, with an option to be able to lock it, I don't think we will be using this option though.

My OH loves it on me, and that is what we wanted, I'm sure we are going to have lots of fun using it.

We would recommend this product highly. In fact we hope to be replacing our other items previously purchased elsewhere with equivalent ones from Lovehoney in the future.

I need a breathable gag and I'm also vegan so I don't buy leather, which kind of limited my options in terms of ball gags (and bondage gear in general). Luckily I found this one!

I was worried before it arrived that it would be too big for my mouth, as I have a pretty small mouth. I needn't have worried, though, the ball slips in and out fairly easily and has just enough give so as to be rigid but still safe to bite down on. It feels comfortable in my mouth.

Another reviewer has complained about the taste, but I didn't notice any strong taste at all. It doesn't really taste of anything.

Also like other users have already mentioned, the packaging is pretty cliché and stereotypically "sex toy". The product itself is excellent, though, so I don't think it matters much.

The holes are nice and big and breathing through them is easy and natural. This gag won't keep its wearer very quiet, but if - like me - you're more into the look and feel of a gag rather than the practicalities, I don't see how that would be too much of a problem.

The gag is silicone, which I love because it is so easy to clean!

It is also lockable, which is a pretty neat function. I haven't tried locking it yet but I imagine it would be very secure. The gag feels fairly strong and substantial when in use. It is well-made and of good quality.

I also think the gag looks pretty good in your mouth. I have seen this exact gag in pink elsewhere on the internet and I wish the pink version was available on Lovehoney. I would happily buy it again in pink.

In general I'm really happy with this gag and would say it is excellent for anybody who wants a nice, leather-free beginner's gag. It is probably not great for the more hardcore types as it is fairly comfortable and doesn't do much silencing.

The material is awesome. It looks great, matte, and feels luxurious, silky smooth to the touch. It's comfortably stretchy but still sturdy. I am a bit worried about the thin parts on the sides of the ball, though. They stretch quite a bit, and we feel it's best not to put the gag on overly tight to preserve them (you can still put it on pretty tight!). The buckle has a loop for a small lock.

Silicone is easy to clean compared to e.g. leather. Cleaning the breathing holes gives some trouble, though, and they may gather dust and stuff, depending on how the gag's stored. I suppose you might get some gunk between the silicone and metal as well, so I don't think it can be cleaned thoroughly.

When the ball is in my mouth, I am easily able to fit a finger, almost two, on top of it. Sometimes I breathe "around" the ball, as well. However, talking isn't possible, as the ball restricts tongue movement.
